Casey T. Nelson, CPA
While attending an introductory accounting class at the University of North Dakota Business School, a professor convinced Casey to major in Accounting and earn the CPA designation. This was tremendous advice as many career paths would be bolstered by a CPA background. After three years in a corporate CPA office, Casey made a call to Tom Tschider (a close family friend) about becoming a financial planner. Soon after, he joined the Tschider Financial Planning team and began learning the business. Without a doubt, this was the most important decision of Casey's career. We are still loosely affiliated with Tom and the staff at Tschider Financial Planning and maintains an office at their Detroit Lakes location. He visits frequently to meet with clients who live in the lakes area.
Casey grew up in the Fargo, ND area and spent his summers in Detroit Lakes, MN. He graduated from the University of North Dakota in 2007 and moved shortly after to Minneapolis where he lived and grew his business for 15 years. In 2022, they moved their family to Detroit Lakes.
Casey obtained the CPA designation in 2008, the Series 7, Series 66 (held through LPL Financial), and Life/Health insurance licenses in 2010, and Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF) designation in 2015.
Casey is married to Annelise, who works as a dentist at West River Dental in Detroit Lakes. He is the proud father of three girls; Anja, Klara, and Kaja, and a son with 4 moms, Otto, born in late 2023. Albeit in a state of seemingly permanent shock at how quickly things have changed, he is enjoying the semi-organized chaos that is his current household with powerful women running the show, overwhelming amounts of pink and purple dominating the home, and being the proud owner of a white mini-van. He is still active in athletics and when time allows he also enjoys golf, the occasional concert, and traveling far away from Minnesota during the winter.

Ben Bathke, CRPC
Ben has always been passionate about helping others establish confidence in their finances. He received a degree from the Carlson School of Management with majors in finance and marketing at the University of Minnesota. Following graduation, Ben held a few different roles within the tech and finance industry. During his time as a senior retirement consultant with Empower he realized a passion for financial planning. Ben also teaches financial education classes at his church.
Ben grew up in Oshkosh, WI spending his time playing baseball and doing everything outdoors. Following his graduation from the University of Minnesota in 2019 he decided to remain in the Twin Cities and has lived there ever since.
Ben obtained his Series 7, Series 63 (held through LPL Financial) and CRPC designation in 2021 while working for Empower (401(k) provider). He obtained his Series 66 (held through LPL Financial) and Life/Health insurance licenses in 2022.
Ben’s wife Morgan works for Dexcom as a regional sales trainer covering the southern US region. Ben and Morgan are very active and love to be on the lake in the summer or snowmobiling in the winter. Ben and Morgan take every opportunity they get to get to travel, typically for backpacking trips.

Jennifer Wyatt
Marketing Manager
Jennifer provides assistance and helps Casey develop additional business opportunities in our Minneapolis office. She has a Master's degree in Industrial Relations and spent several years working in corporate Human Resources. After taking a few years off from the corporate world to have children, Jennifer has taken on the challenge of assisting Casey to help our clients pursue their wealth management goals.
Jennifer is married and has three amazing kids who keep her on the go. She is an active volunteer in her kids' schools and their traveling sports programs. She enjoys walking and running around the local lakes, spending time at the family cabin, and traveling with her family.
